Kampot Province Overview
Development Goals
Kampot Province is emerging as a premier tourism and investment destination, guided by its “One Belt, One Core, Four Clusters” spatial model and anchored by strategic infrastructure like the Kampot Port. With an emphasis on wellness tourism, island adventures, and innovative “tourism + agriculture” experiences, Kampot is building a unique brand that blends natural beauty, cultural richness, and economic opportunity.
Priority Industries
Kampot is rapidly emerging as a strategic coastal hub for investment. The province offers high potential in eco- and cultural tourism, premium agro-processing and cross-border trade with Vietnam. With port access and industrial land, Kampot is primed for oil refining and petrochemical ventures, while its strong base in cement and construction materials supports rising regional demand. Blending natural assets with infrastructure readiness, Kampot is your gateway to Cambodia’s next wave of coastal development.
Key Priority Project
Kampot’s 29 priority projects support its transformation into a healthy, green riverfront city. A new Health and Nutrition Hub will expand care for vulnerable groups, while climate-resilient waste, drainage, and mobility systems manage growth and boost sustainability. Riverbank restoration and eco-parks enhance flood resilience and livability, positioning Kampot as a model for inclusive, eco-friendly urban development.
Incentive and Scheme
As part of the Coastal Master Plan, the Kampot investment is eligible for incentives under the Law on Investment of the Kingdom of Cambodia, aimed at encouraging private sector participation and fostering sustainable economic growth in the region.
