Key Priority Projects
As part of the Master Plan to Develop Cambodia Coastal Provinces, which will be implemented over the next 15 years, Kep Province has 11 provincial development projects, primarily focused on infrastructure development, and an additional 14 joint development projects with the three other provinces including Preah Sihanouk, Koh Kong and Kampot. These joint projects aim to ensure that the four provinces can establish an interconnected and complementary economic system that functions smoothly and effectively.
Kep’s 11 priority projects promote inclusive and sustainable coastal growth. A new Skills and Learning Center will strengthen local capacity in tourism, agriculture, and entrepreneurship, focusing on youth and women. A Green Coastal Corridor will restore mangroves, protect biodiversity and support eco-tourism. Together, these projects build human capital, boost climate resilience, and position Kep as a model for low-impact, community-led development.
