On 13th August 2025, Khmer Enterprise held its 18th Board Meeting, chaired by H.E. Hem Vandy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI). The meeting brought together leading policymakers and influential business figures—including H.E. Dav Ansan, H.E. Chea Kok Hong, Nek Oknha Sear Rithy, Oknha Sok Piseth, Oknha Dr. Hor Sereyvath, and Mr. Michael Tan—to discuss strategies for strengthening the sustainability and competitiveness of Cambodia’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with the overarching aim of reinforcing the country’s position as a competitive and secure destination for investment.
Key measures discussed to enhance SME sustainability, reduce investment risks, and boost investor confidence—include:
Boosting Local Production Capacity – Providing targeted training to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and entrepreneurial mindsets, enabling SMEs to supply quality goods to both domestic and export markets.
Accelerating Digital Adoption – Building a strong digital culture in SMEs to streamline processes, improve transparency, and connect more effectively with global buyers.
Linking Trade and Investment – Establishing stronger bridges between SMEs, traders, and investors, creating a robust value chain that reduces entry risks for foreign investors.
The discussion emphasized that Cambodia’s SMEs are central to Cambodia’s vision of sustainable industrial growth. By equipping them with the right skills, technology, and market connections, the government is also creating a safer and more attractive environment for investors.
Khmer Enterprise will continue to reinforce its commitment through the implementation of targeted programs in the coming months to advance these priorities – strengthening local production, enhancing business resilience, and creating the conditions for stable, long-term partnerships in manufacturing and trade.
