Guangzhou, China, 8 September 2026 — The Cambodia Coastal Master Plan Secretariat, in collaboration with the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration, ISI Special Economic Zone and Sunwah Group, brought Preah Sihanouk’s investment opportunities to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through a “China-Cambodia Collaboration: Smart Manufacturing for ASEAN”.

The event brought together around 50 representatives from Chinese enterprises, business associations, government institutions and professional service providers to explore investment and industrial cooperation opportunities in Cambodia.

H.E. Mang Sineth, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, warmly welcomed investors to explore Preah Sihanouk Province as a strategic destination for supply chain expansion and production relocation in ASEAN. He highlighted the province’s growing infrastructure and connectivity as a strong foundation for supply chain diversification, production relocation and ASEAN expansion, while reaffirming the government’s commitment to a transparent, efficient and investor-friendly environment.

H.E. Chea Kok Hong, Secretariat Director of the Cambodia Coastal Master Plan, highlighted opportunities across automotive and EV, electronics, furniture and agro-processing. EV registrations reached 7,632 in the first half of 2026, up 136% year on year, while Cambodia’s tyre exports reached US$1.4 billion in 2025. Opportunities also extend across furniture manufacturing and supporting industries, as well as agro-processing of seafood, meat, fruits and other agricultural products.

Together, these opportunities reflect a broader shift: from manufacturing individual products to building complete supply chains in Cambodia for the ASEAN market.
